Pennsylvania State University
Founded on February 22, 1855, the Pennsylvania State University or formerly named as "Farmers School of Pennsylvania", is a public, state-related research university with campuses and facilities in Pennsylvania. On November 1953, the Centre County Court approved the Trustee's request to change the name of the institution to The Pennsylvania State University. The seal was subsequently changed to reflect the new name.
